I hope they didn’t make a Bracha.
ty mr governor for all your help
you have our vote for president !
They did make a bracha. Whats the problem with that??
its a brocha levatola do u know what that means
and if you light in a governors house and thats how you are mekayeim the mitzva, then suddenly you cant make a bracha?
what if i light in the mayors house? also no bracha? a hotel or hospital (that lets), also no bracha?
which one of our officials were their?
To Ari: the official from Lakewood that was “there”not “their”. Come on where did you go to school.
There is one “shita” who allows making a bracha in a similar instance, provided that they will be davening there…though most poskim are of the opinion that a bracha should not be recited. (See Minchas Yitzchak 6,65).
Why wasnt I invited – I am also an askan????? Yeah! laugh!! diference is that what I do, no one knows about – not even me.. In all seriousness I should have been invited, oh well….
fyi, they did daven there…. so i guess they could make the bracha. and could someone explain to me how they can make a bracha by the menora in manhaten? Noone is living there!! (unless you count the homeless people)
