Lakewood Mosdos Searching for Substitutes due to many Rebbeim absent with Flu [UPDATE: Over 50 Potential Candidates Have Responded]

Dozens of Rebbeim from various Lakewood Mosdos are out with the flu, and there aren’t enough substitutes to fill the positions, Roshei Mosdos tell TLS.

The flu has been running rampant this season, and as first reported on TLS last weeks, hundreds are out of school – including many teachers and Rebbeim.

As a result of the Rebbeim shortage, Mosdos are reaching out in search of substitutes so that learning can continue uninterrupted.

Aish Dos, which staffs many positions, has also ran out of substitutes.

Anyone who feels he is able to teach Tinokes Shel Bais Rabon, is asked to please text 929-277-8133.

  1. That’s ridiculous! Why doesn’t anyone realize? The Yeshivos and Mosdos should close down for the time being, that would be the responsible, smart thing to do to stop it.

  2. This is an amazing opportunity for a guy that wants to get into chinuch. with the lakewoood market so tough i cant stress enough the impact you can make on a minahel. take the opportunity, prepare, do a great job and it may land you a rebbe job some time!!!

  3. Why should we stop the children’s learning again after we saw the disastrous results from the last time we did this?! We are still recovering from that period, and some kids never recoevered…Didnt we finally get the message, the children’s learning are the greatest protection we have against all calamities, including sickness?!

  4. I hope they vet any potential substitutes for the safety of our precious children. After a public post on the internet like this one, who knows what type of people might apply

  5. @issac please stop being so negative. We don’t close schools for the flu. This will pass. For the time being yes everyone should stay in school. If you don’t want to help you don’t need to but please don’t knock.

  6. School need to stay open, even if it’s b’devad to have a sub.
Kids can’t stay home and do bother all day.
Plus parents need to go to work.
