Question:
Thanks for all you do for the Lakewood community As a fellow raintree resident I am very concerned with BMG opening a branch on the woodlake country club. The morning traffic starting from ridge is already terrible as we head to work and school and now driving is going to become snail like coming from ridge. Are there any plans to prevent the traffic from getting worse?
Thanks
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good afternoon,
Both New Hampshire & Ridge Aves. are county roads. We have been working with the county to get them to improve New Hampshire by adding a south bound turning lane off Ridge and to expand the turning lane coming off New Hampshire north bound onto Ridge.
I know BMG purchased Woodlake Country Club, but I am not aware of any imminent plan for it to become a full fledged campus. Before that happens, they would need to go before both one of our local land use boards as well as the county’s to get approvals which will include traffic improvements.
Ray

Another suggestion is if possible have the turning lights extended from New Hampshire onto Swarthmore between for example the hours of 830 – 930 AM when hundreds of people are trying to turn into the industrial park and only a few going at a time which backs traffic all the way back to ridge.
This is exactly what is needed
100% this is a very easy fix to the issue.
we have been saying this for years. nothing changed. same excuse “county road”…
Good idea, Lakewood!
Approve building and construction, all this new stuff without giving a care in the world about infrastructure, traffic, accidents, etc.
