The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to AskTheMayor@thelakewoodscoop.com.
Question:
I’ve lived in Pine Acres since 1971. Now it is very difficult to exit Erica, Lucy, or Ronald Road to make a turn onto New Hampshire Ave., especially a left turn. There is a need for traffic lights at Erica and Ronald Road. Also needed are left turn lanes into the 3 roads due to parking on the west side of New Hampshire Ave, which prevents vehicles from passing stopped vehicles making a left. I know, it’s a county road. Good luck with the request.
Response from Mayor Coles:
Hi Artie,
There are a lot of plans in the works for this part of New Hampshire. I will ask Traffic & Safety to look into additional lights at one or more of the intersections you listed. You are correct, the county will have the final say over their placement.
Thanks
Ray

Since so many Yidden are moving from Brooklyn to Lakewood why don’t we offer New York a package deal for the traffic lights & transplant them to Lakewood?
LOL. Nature abhors a vacuum. When people move out, the area doesn’t stay empty. Other people move in
