Question:
Hi. I am a resident of the sunset area and i noticed that the park was recently demolished. i have a request for those who do the planning of the new playground. I have a special needs child who cannot do anything in the parks we visit due to her limitations. i was wondering if there is a swing that can be installed in the park with a five point harness so she can enjoy the park along with her siblings?
thank you
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good afternoon
Public Works has already reached out to our vendor to secure at least one of the swings you requested. I also asked them to investigate adding this type of swing to all of our playgrounds and parks.
I agree with you that it is important for all children to be able to play especially with siblings and friends
I hope you all have many happy years enjoying the playgrounds. I really miss the days I spent with my children at Pine Park and Brook Rd. Fortunately our grandson should be old enough for some of the playground equipment by the spring.
See you there!
Ray
Response from original author: Thank you so much! i appreciate your understanding and look forward to many happy memories at the park!

There are several such swings available at the playground the Township installed 2 years ago on School Garden Street at Clover Ave.
