Question: Thank you Mayor Coles for answering questions through this forum. Is there any ways to update the street cleaners in town? It feels like there should be a better way to do it. Besides for holding up traffic (something we definitely don’t need more of here), they don’t seem to do any “cleaning” at all. I’ve seen clean streets much dirtier after they come through. Thank you.
Response from Mayor Coles: Good afternoon
I agree that many of our street sweepers do not do the job we would like. We are upgrading them to newer units that do a much better job. We have one new on the streets already & hope to add 2 more next year.

Perhaps there also need to be no parking signs when they come around. I live next to a house/shul that always has cars parked all over the place and the street cleaners just pass right by and my area never ever gets cleaned.
The Street Cleaners are one of the more humorous things in this Township. She comes around like twice a year, with no warning or schedule so there are parked cars all over the place anyway. Basically, the curbs never get cleaned. Time to let people know a schedule when they come, have it done more often and with a system.
