Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles responds to your ‘Ask The Mayor’ questions: Rt. 9 and Oak Street

The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected]

Question:

Hi Hon. Mayor,

A while back, it was reported that the intersection of Oak St & The 9 will be getting a traffic light. Quite some time has passed since then and there is still no light. Would you know the time frame for this project?

Many thanks for always doing such a great job!

Response from Mayor Coles:

Good morning,

The state has approved traffic lights at the intersections of Oak & 9 and Broadway & 9. These will be installed as part of the renovations the state is planning. We are constantly working with the state to expedite these repairs & improvements.

Stay Safe

Ray

  1. Mr Mayor
We would appreciate a statement once a month on any progress towards solving the rt 9 traffic? I know you care deeply and I would feel better if it were recognized
    Thank you
