Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles responds to your ‘Ask The Mayor’ questions: Purim Traffic

The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].

Question:

Hi Mayor Coles

I hope you are well.
As you are aware, the Fast of Easter and Sunday (Purim) are likely the two most hectic days of the year, with thousands of parents on the road delivering their packages to teachers.
I BEG YOU to please please ensure that ALL street closures and expected construction work is put on hold tomorrow and Sunday if applicable.
THANK YOU!

Response from Mayor Coles:

Good morning,
I look forward to enjoying Pruim every year. Our OEM, Police & Public Works departments all work together to make sure our streets are safe and passable for the holidays. Sgt Work, from Traffic & Safety, assures me that there are no construction projects scheduled that would impede traffic flow.
I hope everyone has a safe joyful Holiday.
Ray

Well, actually, the mistake might have been in the first word and it might have been saying Feast of Easter which falls out on March 31st.

    • Well maybe as Esther eats at the feast of Easter, she’ll be dressed up like a bunny. Then the defeated will lay at the feat of her bed instead of feasting the feast that Easter made for him.
