Question:
Dear Mr mayor thank you for all that you do for the community that we see and the behind the scenes…… i want to bring something very important to your attention for the safety of drivers, bikers, walkers along New Hampshire rd and Ridge area at night the road gets so dark you can’t see anything without a flashlight. Looking to see if you have any way of making sure something gets done before someone gets hurt. Thank you in advance.
proud Lakewood resident
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good afternoon
We have been pressuring JCPL to add to and improve the lighting in this area. Committeeman Lichtenstein will bring it up at his next meeting with JCPL, which is schedule in the next week or so.
Thanks
Ray

Oh no Mr Mayor ! It gets dark at night !
But isn’t it the county who makes it dark?
Bring back the street lamps that General Electric & WhiteWestinghouse put out in the ’60’s. Those were the best & did the best job lighting up the streets at night.

And bikers are required by law to have lights – front and back. Street lights are definitely helpful, and it is a growing town, but reflectors and lights are absolutely necessary – even with decent lighting; night is night.
