Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles responds to your ‘Ask The Mayor’ questions: Lexington Avenue

The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].

Question:

Good afternoon Mr. Mayor:

I’m writing to you once again about the terrible condition that Lexington Ave is in. From about 7th street all the way up to County Line, it is SO broken up, it is so bad for the shocks & tires of the cars. It is such a busy thoroughfare, is it at all in the plan to have it repaved this year, in 2019? It is in SO DIRE need of repaving. Please, please see what you can do. … Thank you!

Response from Mayor Coles:

I’m on Lexington all the time & understand the condition. There is still some water & sewer work that needs to be done before we can do a final paving. I asked our manager to get me a timetable on everything & to get it completed as quickly as possible.

Ray
