Question:

Good morning.

I would like to start by thanking you for this Ask the Mayor series. I think it has brought a whole new level to communication and transparency with the town. I would also like to thank The Lakewood Scoop for making this series happen.

I am writing regarding an article on TLS (link here) that was published July 19, regarding repaving several of the roads in the Lakewood Industrial Park in partnership with the LIC. I was very excited to read this, being that I work there, and see the need for it. The project was scheduled for August and to be completed in a month.

Being that August is now over and I have seen no signs of this project starting, I was wondering, 1) if or when it is scheduled to still happen, and 2) why it wasn’t done during the quieter summer?

Thanks. I am also grateful to the Scoop for giving me this outlet to reach out to folks.

We are partnering with the county road department to get this work done. Their summer schedule ran a bit late. The good news is that weather permitting they should be starting this coming Tuesday.
