Question:
That at the end of the year, Kennedy boulevard is going to be paved from kosher village until the end. That’s after being told, multiple times that the patches are going to be paved, which they have never been. You can come down and see for yourself. It’s horrible, thank you.
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good morning. I spoke with the county engineer this morning. He reassured ne that Kennedy is slated for a full paving in 2025. In the meantime they will do any necessary repairs.

Question:
Hi Mr. Mayor, thank you for your hard work. I live on Stirling avenue and my corner that intersects with linden avenue is a spot of a lot of confusion and unfortunately many accidents. Things got even more confusing with the painting of lines because people now think there is a 4 way stop sign when actually it is still only a two way. Can we just have it transferred to be a 4 way for neighborhood safety?
Response from Mayor Coles:
I will ask Traffic and Safety to look into whether a 4 way stop is warranted. I will also ask public works to see if there is some signage they can put up to clarify the situation. It is not unusual for issues to arise when traffic pattern changes are first made. Hopefully once people get used to the new signs things will smooth out.
Thanks
Ray
Question:
Hi honorable Mayor,
Ive noticed lately much has been invested into our lake like the new docs, and now the new exercise equipment being placed around the lake. My wife and I, like hundreds of others are both Lake walkers. I find it surprising that much has been invested in the lake, yet we still don’t have a respectful bathroom for walkers and joggers to utilize. This is pretty standard in other parks and jogging paths like Manasquan reservoir or the brick reservoir and other area parks, etc. the few times I had no choice, but to use the Johnny on the spots near the lake , I must say I don’t wish it on my worst enemy, it was simply a disgusting experience . So much money is being invested into the lake, doesn’t our Mayor feel that a humble bathroom house would be a wise investment. another point which I believe will be a great asset to the lake/town is to hire a “lake keeper” it can be a retiree or anybody for that matter, the main criteria is that he/she have a love for the lake and this town. He would walk the lake every day snipping low hanging branches picking up debris, repairing planks that are popping up from the boardwalk section of Route nine, sweep the geese droppings from the path, making sure cars don’t park on the walking path and of course, cleaning and disinfecting the toilets. I feel that would be a great asset to our community. Thanks again Mayor, looking forward to response.
Dave
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good morning Dave
We are currently investigating a proper bathroom for the lake. It would be a self cleaning unit.
Public works currently takes care of the lake. I will submit your suggestions and see what we can do.
Thanks
Ray

Please DO NOT put a 4 way stop at Linden and Stirling. It would be a nightmare!!! The striping is perfect.
I live on the block and shouldn’t be affected negatively by one person who decided it’s necessary.
Thank you
Well , I will be the 2nd person to say I think this is a good idea. there have been several serious accidents at this intersection. And some enforcement at Stirling and Somerset would also help.
The request for a bathroom is super important.
My daughter once told me that a medical professional once told her that if you wait with going to the bathroom then you are building up your muscles in that area.
Baruch Hashem I was able to convince her that we can call that “fake news”.
The Shulchan Aruch says very clearly not to wait even one minute, so with all due respect to the Medical group, they can not convince us to go against the Shulchan Aruch. This practice of waiting is damaging to the whole body.
geese poop all over the path at times, is a real issue, i think they should make a massive geese slaughtering and feed all the homeless, it would be a win win!
I have a great idea to solve that problem! We declare Lakewood a Hatian Sancutary City! Nobody really has any cats as pets here so it seems like a win-win!
I like the idea of adopting little jobs at the lake. There can also be a sign-up to take like one block. But when I walk by, I do try to pick up a piece or two of garbage etc.
I live on Stirling and navigate that intersection multiple times a day. Putting a 4 way stop sign there would cause more problems. The intersection an Linden Ave. are not wide enough and traffic would become snarled. Cars and buses would get stuck as they try to turn onto a narrow Linden Ave with parked cars on one side and backed up traffic from the stop sign on the other…
