Question:
Dear Mr Mayor.
Thank you for all that you do on behalf of the township.
I was wondering if there is anything that can be done regarding parking on Park Ave near East 9th St.
Because of the angle of Park Ave it is almost impossible to see any oncoming traffic from the south side when trying to turn off East 9th Street on to Park Ave. The vehicles that park there even where there is no yellow curb block the view. It seems that most of the time it’s vans or bigger vehicles from point bay.
I have experienced many times where there almost was an accident and cars traveling North on Park Ave must brake suddenly and honk the horn but sometimes it’s been really close and it’s an accident waiting to happen.
Please drive down East 9th Street from East End to Park Ave and see for yourself how it’s really impossible to see any cars coming up Park.
Thank you.
An East 9th St resident
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good afternoon,
I am forwarding your email to our traffic & safety department so they can go out, evaluate the situation & give us some ideas what we can do to improve the situation.
Thank you for reaching out.
Ray

I agree the no parking to corner should be doubled in length at least
I’ve actually seen many accidents on that corner in my 4 years living there.
It’s an issue with E 8th and Rosebank also
