The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].
Question:
Hi,
We keep hearing about county roads and how there’s not much to be done by the town of Lakewood. How can we get more representation on the proper county boards? We should be a significant size within the county and I don’t understand why it would take months or years to make a traffic light adjustment. If its up for a vote, I am sure we can make a campaign to get proper representation.
Abe
Response from Mayor Coles:
I agree. I met with 3 of the commissioners today and told them explicitly that most of the road and traffic questions I receive are related to county issues and that I am a more than a little tired of saying that to people. I don’t like to make excuses. I prefer to solve problems. We have a meeting to discuss county road projects in a couple weeks and I truly hope they can come up with a better way of responding to our needs in town.

the only way to contact on their website at least is with a phone call…no email or tracking like lakewood township has with making recommendations for repairs.
There are enough problems with the Lakewood roads that need to be addressed. Please deal with the local issues. When it comes to county issues we can reach out to the county officials directly.
To Mr. Therapist:
1. Please give a few of the “Lakewood problems” that are not tied to the County or State.
2. Regarding County Issues, why dont you reach out to them? Find out the issues and call them. Then, i want to see results!
