Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles responds to your ‘Ask The Mayor’ questions: County and Ridge

The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].

I drive a few times a day at the county line/ridge intersection. Driving on ridge over county line there is just one lane in both directions, yet enough space for a turning car to squeeze by. This creates havoc every day as two lanes begin to form with cars going straight in both lanes. This is in both directions on ridge while crossing new hampshire. Can you either make two official lanes or put something up to avoid cars creating their own unsafe lanes?

Response from Mayor Coles:

Good morning

The county is in the process of redesigning this intersection to add turning lanes. The township donated some property to them last year to help speed this along
