The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].
Question:
Hi,
The intersection of clover and Ocean/route 88 is extremely dangerous. Cars driving on Clover block the lane waiting to make a left turns on Ocean causing drivers to drive on the shoulder and block right turning cars and make a messy and confusing road. Please can you see if the roads can be widened and add a lane for the turning vehicles as this will alleviate all the clover back up as well.
Thanks,
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good afternoon,
We have asked the county to make numerous improvements to the intersections at either end of Clover. I will be sure to pass this along and offer whatever assistance we can.
Thanks
Ray

Well it was the township that allowed dense construction on all 4 corners of clover and Rt 88, claiming that Rt 88 won’t be turned into 2 lanes anytime soon. So now there is no room for turning lanes or a shoulder to go around other vehicles. So yes it’s our fault with no one else to blame.
Why did you allow new houses to be build right up to the road?
