Do you know why the light at Chestnut & New Hampshire is still not working yet?

I sent a request to the county engineer on Friday. I will post his response as soon as I receive it.

Question:
Hi Mayor Coles,
I am so grateful to God for giving Lakewood our great mayor. May he give you much blessings in all your endeavors!
I’m writing to you to ask you if possibly we can have sidewalks on at least one side of prospect Street that goes from cross until the nine. Recently there are new developments added that did not put sidewalks along prospect and I assume they did not need to, per township code. Maybe you can do something about this?
Thank you so much!
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good morning
The sidewalks for this area are currently being designed. Our hope is to have them in sometime this fall.
Thanks for reaching out.
Ray
Question:
Dear Mayer coles first i would like to thank you for having a wonderful place where residents can ask questions at their convenience. The side walk on east county line road stops at prime lane and there is a school bnos bina where many students walk home every day and they end up walking on the shoulder/road I understand that it’s a county road but can you please speak to the county if they can fix this. And thank you for clearing the sidewalk on county line by brook Road from all the dirt now we can finally push a baby stroller also over there there’s no sidewalk till ridge Avenue it only starts on the other side by emerald hills 100 feet later and there’s no crosswalk and there’s a bend on the road there forcing parents to run while crossing with their kids so they don’t get hit thank you again.
Response from Mayor Coles:
Good morning
I’ve asked our engineer get the gaps filled in and work with the county to make the areas safer for pedestrians.
