Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles responds to your ‘Ask The Mayor’ questions: Brain Shaking Experience

The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to AskTheMayor@thelakewoodscoop.com.

Question:

Hello me mayor, can some please explain why crossing over the train tracks on James has to be such a violent brain shaking experience. I mean it’s insane how bad of a job they did over there. You literally get shook around for no reason if that would have been fixed properly. And please don’t say they aren’t finished yet, because it’s been like that for months. Thanks and I hope you can get that fixed.

Response from Mayor Coles:

The Railroad in town was recently sold to a new company. I have a meeting with representatives of the new company this week. I will add this concern to our list of discussion topics.

Thanks

Ray

  1. I know many of us are “Heimish” but when we speak to an outside of the community official can we at least try to sound intelligent & professional?

  2. Meanwhile, take it from someone who lives in the neighborhood, now that you know it’s bumpy, SLOW DOWN before you get to the tracks to lessen the bumps. And I agree with @Yes, please try to communicate in correct English if you want to be understood.
