Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles responds to your ‘Ask The Mayor’ questions: Benches at Lake Carasaljo

The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].

Question: Good morning Mr. Mayor,

Thank you for the hard work you do on behalf of our wonderful town.

I live off of Central Ave and often take walks at Lake Carasaljo. We enjoy the beautiful scenery and sometimes want to be able to sit and relax there as well. However, there are not many benches there. One of the areas I noticed there is an open space for benches is on South Lake Drive by Myrtle and Lapsley streets. I’m sure there are other areas around the lake as well. Can you please see what you can do to have these benches put in?

Thanks you for your attention to this matter.

Response from Mayor Coles: Good morning,

I spoke to Phil Roux, our Public Works Director and he said he will order some benches for this area. Thanks for letting me know about this.
