The following is an ‘Ask The Mayor’ question submitted to TLS, and the Mayor’s response. Email your questions for the Mayor to [email protected].
Question:
Would the Township consider placing another crossing over the lake, either in the area of Second Street where it is narrow or a little further West?
Response from Mayor Coles:
We are looking at ways to get a crossing over the lake. I know it is important to Committeeman Delia. I will ask him where we are at.
Thanks
Ray

That’s craze If they make a bridge,
We still have a nice scenery in lkwd to look at
i just hope they don’t mess that up now!
Private way to sunset is much more ideal….But I think that if you would drain the lake all problems would be solved, besides who has a lake in middle of a city!!
to smarty pants. are you for real? dumbest idea ever
Private way to Sunset is a great idea and I believe it can be be done economically, attractively and ecologically sound. Go for it!
go ahead ruin the one pretty thing left in this town…
worst idea ever ( but i am sure someone will come up with another bad idea soon)
A BRIDGE DOES NOT RUIN THE BEAUTY OF OUR LAKE. I AM LIVING HERE OVER 45 YEARS AND I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA. THE LAKE IS PART OF OUR HISTORY HERE AND WE WANT TO KEEP IT HOWEVER LET’S BE PRACTICAL AND MAKE THAT BRIDGE, IT WILL BEAUTIFY OUR ROADS A BIT. #1 GET REAL AND FACE THE FACTS DON’T STICK YOUR HEAD IN THE SAND.
Go for it age before beauty
It’s much easier and nicer to just expand the existing bridge to 4 lanes. It would ease traffic and won’t ruin the beautiful scenic look !!
1.Sunset Bridge is the answer.
Make one lane a bike and footpath
And second lane for card
2. While were at it , a stoplight at MLK and pine
3. And ofcourse opening all on paper roads and widening rt 9
4. During rush hour hire traffic ushers to push traffic through
These four items are both doable and will make life much easier forall
Man built the Lake and man can remove it. It is only a stream that someone built a dam on. Look at all the needed housing that can be built on the newly established land. I am sure that North Lake Drive and South Lake Drive will be able to handle the traffic.
Don’t talk about keeping the beauty of the lake when the Township obviously doesn’t care about it. It’s weeds are overgrown, the lake is filthy polluted, and looks so ugly. The Township needs to upkeep it and spend a few dollars to make it look nice again. Then you’ll have a valid point of kewp8ng the town looking good.
maybe we can get a Trump grant to build a “big beautiful bridge”
excuse me. every time i drive near the lake i get a lift! it IS pretty…
