Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles and Police Chief Greg Meyer comment on Monsey Stabbing Attack

Lakewood Mayor Ray Coles today released the following statement to TLS:

“The Township of Lakewood stands with our brothers and sisters in Monsey. This season symbolizes light standing against the darkness. We must all work together to eliminate the hate and ignorance which drives these types of crimes.”

Police Chief Greg Meyer told TLS, “The news coming out of Monsey is horrific, and we are praying for the victims. An attack at a Chanukah party where our Jewish friends celebrate light, makes the attack significantly worse. Here in Lakewood we are increasing our patrols and will do whatever we can to keep our residents safe.”
