An object spotted underneath a Lakewood man’s vehicle turned out to be a loaded gun, police say.

On Sunday, Officer Matthew McKee was dispatched to Woodlake Manor regarding a found firearm, and upon arrival “learned that the owner of a Honda Odyssey observed an unknown object underneath his van,” Detective Lieutenant Greg Staffordsmtih said. “Further investigation revealed that it was a loaded handgun.”

Sources tell TLS there was a fight in the area the night prior, and may possibly be related.

“Further investigation is being conducted by Det. Michael Cavallo to learn the circumstances surrounding the discovery,” Staffordsmith said.
