Lakewood Housing Assembly Information Session Open to the Public

What is the truth about affordable housing? What exactly is the process? New Jersey has been approving municipal housing plans for affordable housing for years.

STEPS (Solutions to End Poverty Soon) and the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) in partnership with the LRRC (Lakewood Resource and Referral Center) are holding a Working Together information session, open to the public, to discuss questions about the affordable housing process on Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at 6:00 p.m., at the Lakewood Municipal Building, 231 Third Street, Lakewood, New Jersey.

Representatives from Fair Share Housing, housing developers, and housing industry experts, among others will be present.

STEPS Executive Director Michael McNeil, who also is the Housing Chair of the New Jersey State Conference NAACP, said, “This session is designed to dispel myths and rumors, and to establish the facts about the affordable housing process so we can all work together.”
