Lakewood-Holmdel Admissions Advisor Job description

actu[COMMUNICATED] Actualize is a fast growing coder bootcamp and apprenticeship with locations in Chicago, San Francisco and New York. We are seeking an Admissions Advisor to join our Lakewood-Holmdel Team.

Using a defined admissions process you will be responsible for qualifying the very best student candidates into our coder bootcamps.  Our typical student is a career changer looking to gain the coder skills necessary to then leapfrog into the most sought after and highest-paid coder jobs. Our work is incredibly rewarding to our students and to our passionate team.

The Admissions Advisor will report directly to our COO and work closely with all team members.  You will be responsible for setting and conducting admissions interviews with our prospective student candidates.

In this role, you will:

  • Be a part of a quickly growing team at Actualize
  • Have the ability to quickly establish credibility and trusted relationships with student candidates
  • Develop a pipeline of student candidates from our web leads and other sources
  • Bring your thinking, strategies, and ideas to advance our company’s values, unique culture, and vision for the future
  • Become an expert at presenting Actualize and our coder camps

What you need to have to qualify:

  • You are smart and you get things done quickly and accurately.
  • You are willing and able to be trained and coached.
  • You like to make relationships with people and become their trusted advisor.
  • You have the ability to build relationships and command credibility with internal and external stakeholders.
  • You understand the Lakewood community.
  • You are able to travel daily to Holmdel.
  • You are goal and action oriented.
  • Knowledge of the software industry (not required but a plus).
  • You have at least six months sales experience and have excelled in your role(s.)
  • You are a strategic thinker.
  • You have a good understanding of how technology works from a conceptual standpoint and can effectively and succinctly communicate this to an inexperienced audience.
  • You can take complicated information and make it clear, actionable and relevant to your target audience.
  • You have superior communications skills, excellent verbal capacity, incredible writing skills and the ability to capture an audience during a presentation.
  • A desire and commitment to do what it takes to be successful.
  • Terrific consultative interviewing skills.
  • Exceptional creativity in an admissions environment.
  • Accurate forecasting and pipeline management.
  • Evidence of being a top producer in previous roles.
  • A powerful and professional work ethic.
  • Tons of energy, passion, humor, compassion and enthusiasm.
  • A sharp focus on your goals and a belief that your daily, weekly, and monthly activities will help you achieve them.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, Google Apps. Experience with CRM is a plus.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s or equivalent.
