Lakewood High School Students Protest After 2 Students ‘Assaulted’

protest high school assault 2Photo of dozens of Lakewood High School students protesting along Somerset Avenue this morning, saying two students were ‘assulted’ on Somerset Avenue, (near Village Park), and nothing was done about it. Students tell TLS, “These assualts were committed by the same student and he is still in school”. “We went to the Board Of Ed and to the Principals and they did nothing about it”. “It was just shoved under the rug” the student said.

Police were on hand in case the protest got out of control.

  1. I am a Lakewood High School Student and this boy is being accused of (assaulted-moderated) two girls. Which is absolutely and totally false! I know the kid personally and he would never do such a thing. He wouldn’t hurt a fly. Lakewood Administration did take action and took him out of school immediately and is being home schooled as soon as these girls came to the administration. These parents don’t know there facts and there protesting because they are stupid. These girls and lonely and love to start drama in school. There story about what happen is so unbelievable. Don’t always believe what you hear!

  2. why is assaulted in quotes???? This happened in Lakewood and thats why it’s on TLS. Just because it wasn’t a private jewish school doesn’t mean it doesn’t belong on TLS!

I’m still trying to understand your comment. Can you please explain? What does your first question have to do with the rest of your comment?

  4. It’s in quotation marks because if you used your brain a bit you’d understand that we’re not talking about someone that beat another student with a bat….

  5. One of the girls who is accusing the boy, has a less than stellar reputation. That being said, no matter what the accusation is toward anyone, it should always be reported and looked into. It is not for one person, no matter who that person is, to make a decision of innocent or guilty. If the boy committed the crime,he needs to be brought before the courts and dealt with and these girls deserve the help and support of everyone. If the boy is being faslely accused, then the girls need to have appropriate charges brought against them.
Everyone in this town is so quick to jump to conclusions and point fingers. How about let’s examine the facts instead a knee jerk reaction?

  6. The board took action the same night they heard about the alleged crime. We dont know all the facts yet.Police are investigating….lets just say the accusation from december turned out to be false

  7. Both of the girls who accused the boy of assult both have bad reputations, I know one of the girls on a more personal level and she is nowhere near innocent. Her name has came up in a numerous amount of not so good ordeals, and nasty things that she has already admitted to doing have been talked about around the school since freshmen year. The other girl who is telling the same story as the other, I barely know but I have heard of her.Im not going to mention any names but she is also another one such as the last girl who has a bad reputation for things that have been done inside and outside of school. Im not saying that this incident has a possibility of being false, but I strongly believe that it isnt true. The two supposedly victoms, accusing this young man have, have their names dragged through the dirt and most of the negative things that have been said about them are not falsified information. I feel bad for this young man because I no of him and just by seeing him from time to time in school I know that he did not assult any of the two of those girls. In school I always saw him playing around, and laughing and if anything being generous to the ladies. I feel bad for him just knowing that he has even been accused of doing that. I csnt say to much about the incident that has happened. All I can say is that I hope that this isnt true, and that if these girls are telling a a lie as horrible as this one, that they both be dealt with, in an appropriate manner. And that it be known that he was falsely accused. With that being said I hope that before anyone has charges bought against them, that you let people in Lakewood High School speak for him and let people know that he is nothing like everyone is describing him to be.

  8. So have you people figured out what the word “assualt” means? As my previous post has been removed and my other one is being “moderated”…
