[P.S.A. – Submitted] Lakewood Headstart II, the program that is run out of Bais Rivkah Rochel at 285 River Avenue (Route 9) is taking appointments for parents to come down and fill out an application for free pre-school for boys and girls turning ages 3-4 (Nursery and kindergarten).
Parents interested in information about this free program, which includes morning transportation, hot lunches catered by Locker Caterers, linen for nap time and trips (to local farms and libraries) should call the Headstart II office directly to make an appointment.
Their phone number is (732) 534-9710.
If you call the main office of Headstart please let them know you are interested in the kosher program otherwise you will be given the wrong application to fill out.
The goal of Headstart (a federally funded program) is to get the kids “school ready” so the Kosher program of Headstart II teaches the children aleph-bais, about the yomim tovim (songs, arts and crafts, etc.) and mirrors any frum Lakewood Nursery and Kindergarten. All the teaches are frum, experienced and caring.
Should there be enough interest from the Lakewood frum community more classes will open up to accommodate a wait list.
Not sure, make an appointment to stop by and visit and meet the teachers, family workers and of course the wonderful kids.
Will therapy services such as PT,OT, and Speech be provided?
Services are provided for eligible children – you have to fill out the paperwork, evaluated and approved.
