Lakewood Hatzolah Reminds Residents of St. Moritz Cleaner Dangers

moritzWith Pesach cleaning in full swing, Lakewood Hatzolah is once again reminding residents of the dangers of the powerful St. Moritz chemical spray some use during Pesach cleaning.

In past years, children and adults received severe burns from the chemical.

“It’s Sakanos Nefashos,” a veteran Lakewood Hatzolah member warned.

The chemical, which appears to be just another cleaning agent available in groceries, can cause serious and permanent injuries. Even a slight amount of the chemical coming in contact with skin or eyes, can cause irreversible damage.

Most local groceries have stopped carrying the product after serious injury incidents.

Alternative and less-lethal chemicals are available.

I bought this product in a local store. When my husband took it out of the shopping cart to pay for it he felt something wet. Instantly his hands started burning and it spilled on his pants burning his knees. Why a product as dangerous as this isn’t sealed properly is beyond my understanding. Please be careful when purchasing this product!

And yet I just saw this in my local store. If the comment wouldn’t be censored, I would post the name of the seller.
What a shame people just shrug and are dismissive at their children’s expense. Really Bothers me and what can I do 🙁
