Lakewood Firefighter Rob Leon is recovering at home after injuring his shoulder during Saturday’s fatal fire at the High Point Condominiums. Rob was injured while pulling a water line though the narrow apartment stairway, trying to reach the torched bedroom. He was taken from the scene via EMS to KMC, where he was treated and released a short time later.
TLS spoke with Rob a short time ago who says a follow-up from the Doctors will determine the extent of his injury.
“I’d take this over other (fire-related) injuries any day”, he says.
Rob, on behalf of the TLS staff, we would like to wish you a speedy recovery.
Rob,
A speedy recovery to you & thanks for your service.
