The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners along with Fire Chief Jonathan T. Yahr, Fire Prevention Specialist Sima Clapman and the members of the Lakewood Fire Department is pleased to announce its collaboration with the Neighbors app, a neighborhood safety network powered by Ring.
By joining the Neighbors app, the Lakewood Fire Department aims to strengthen its connection with the community and enhance overall safety within the neighborhood.
The Neighbors app allows residents to share real-time, local crime and safety information with their neighbors and law enforcement agencies. Through this partnership, the Lakewood Fire Department will be able to communicate important updates, safety tips, and emergency alerts directly to residents, fostering a sense of community and improving emergency response coordination.
Chief Yahr expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community. Joining the Neighbors app enables us to engage with residents in a new and innovative way, empowering them with timely information that can make a significant difference in emergency situations.”
Residents are encouraged to download the Neighbors app to stay informed about local incidents, share suspicious activity, and receive real-time updates from the Lakewood Fire Department. By working together, residents and the Lakewood Fire Department can create a safer environment for everyone in the community.
To download the Neighbors app, simply visit the App Store or Google Play Store and search for “Neighbors by Ring.” For more information about the Lakewood Fire Department, please visit our website at www.lakewoodfd.org.
This is only for ring subscribers I take it???
Just hope they understand the VAST majority of Lakewood people do not have Ring.
Anyone can join the neighbors app. You don’t need a ring device to join. You could then see what people near you are posting.
