LFD: It is with pleasure the Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners along with Lakewood Fire Department Fire Chief Mike D’Elia Jr. announce the appointments of career firefighters Travis J. Veth and Michael S. Kaspar to the Lakewood Fire Department. Firefighter Veth and Firefighter Kaspar are two new career firefighters recently hired by the Board of Fire Commissioners.
The appointments were made at the September 13th, 2020 Board of Fire Commissioners meeting followed by a swearing-in ceremony on Friday, October 2nd, 2020. The new members assumed their new positions immediately.
The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners continue to address the changing needs of the community and its expanding population and development. They work tirelessly to address fire service needs so as to efficiently and effectively maximize fire protection within the fiscal constraints of the taxpayers. These appointments are a reflection of their commitment.
The recruitment of volunteer firefighters and fire-police remains ongoing and the Lakewood Township Board of Fire Commissioners, along with Lakewood Fire Department Fire Chief Mike D’Elia Jr., continue to seek individuals who have a desire to serve the Lakewood Community in one of these capacities.
