The Lakewood Fire Department today announced several appointments and promotions, the first under new Fire Chief John Yahr. 

The appointments are:

• Volunteer firefighter Eli Berger to Junior Hose Company No. 3
• Volunteer firefighters Noftuli Rosenberg to Rescue Company No. 2

Additionally the LFD Fire Commissioners have given the following promotions:

• Career firefighter Todd M. Stark to Captain
• Career firefighters Robert D. Cook II to Lieutenant

“The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners continue to address the changing needs of the community and its expanding population and development,” the LFD said in a press release. “They work tirelessly to address fire service needs so as to efficiently and effectively maximize fire protection within the fiscal constraints of the taxpayers. These appointments and promotions are a reflection of that commitment.”
