  1. New Blood, I remember a name from the last time. A young guy named Brice A. I believe he was a volunteer fire fighter and a volunteer for some clubs. We need new blood in this town.

  2. David Mizrahi is a Fire Commissioner but there are 5 Commissioners in the room..Once they represented each of the 5 Fire Volunteer Fire Companies in town. Now there are 2 Firefighters on the board with 2 other members and 1 open spot. That means at least 2 of the slots are available for 3 year positions. It is sad that not a lot of their peers live in the town anymore to fill that position and unfortunately its not going to get any better..and On a Side note

  3. There are 5 commissioners on the board. One stepped down and the board is looking fill that seat temporarily until the next election which is in February. At that time, this seat (and a 2nd seat) will be up for reeclection. The person appointed to fill the seat will have the option to run for another full term.
To address the comment above – there are FF personel available to fill the position but this is a civilian position and any qualified citizen can run for office. There are many in town who would like to see civilian non-fire fighters on the board and that is why we have civilians on the board. If you are qualified and willing to work along side the Fire Department considering their needs and concerns as well as the publics we’d be happy to have you on board.
