Lakewood FD Joins Career Week At Spruce Street School

The Lakewood Fire Department participated in Career Week at Spruce Street School. The event was held from March 25th to 29th. Students were able to view Fire Department apparatus and equipment while learning about the firefighting profession. Valuable information was also disseminated regarding the use of fire extinguishers as well as the importance of smoke detectors, carbon monoxide alarms, fire escape planning, etc.

The Lakewood Board of Fire Commissioners, along with Fire Chief Mike D’Elia Jr., cannot overemphasize the benefits of these presentations and they are extremely proud of all the dedicated members of the Lakewood Fire Department and the professional manner in which they carry out their duties.
