This past Thursday, Lakewood EMS received a donation of three sets of K-9 oxygen masks from the owner of J-2 Pizza. These K-9 Oxygen kits – designed to ventilate the animal at the scene of structure fires and the sort – will be placed in the two Township ambulances and the Emergency Services Unit.
“Lakewood EMS would like to thank J-2 Pizza for providing this equipment and giving these animals a chance of survival in their most critical times”, EMS Supervisor Scott Carter tells TLS.
This donation of the Animal kits, which contain a set of three oxygen domes (Small, medium, large), a 5 foot leash and an adaptor, will allow the EMS department to expand its abilities and offer care to these K-9 Police Officers as part of the rehabilitation program, Carter says.
If anyone would like to sponsor more of these sets, which Carter says would be used for their volunteer Ambulances, you can email contact Scott Carter at [email protected].
