Lakewood Democratic Club To Hold Its First 2010 Meeting Tonight

For those looking to get involved in the local political process, or to just observe how the system works – or doesn’t work – there is an opportunity to do so tonight. The Lakewood Democratic Club will be holding its first 2010 meeting tonight at 7 pm in the Lakewood Municipal Building, 231 Third Street (Room 18). There will be a short forum to discuss and define as to what issues are important to Lakewood’s electorate, escalating property taxes, the 2010 proposed reassessment and its ramifications, and what issues should be on the agenda for this year’s election to Township Committee. Club meetings usually last 45 minutes to an hour, and kosher refreshments are served.
