Lakewood Court Canceled Thursday, January 20 Traffic Delays Anticipated Wednesday and Thursday

lakewood township municipal building tlsLakewood Police Chief Robert Lawson and Committeeman Meir Lichtenstein, public safety liaison for Lakewood Township, have notified TLS that because of the viewing of Officer Christopher Matlosz, drivers should expect traffic delays, possible road closures, and some detours if they are driving on Route 9 North in the area of th4e Lakewood/Howell border between 1:00 and 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19.

On Thursday, January 20, beginning 7:00 a.m. to approximately 3:00 p.m., the public can expect heavy traffic delays, detours, and street closures throughout the Lakewood downtown area.  The public can also expect road closures in the area of New Hampshire Avenue, Route 70, and Massachusetts Avenue Between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Lakewood Court is canceled on Thursday, January 20.  Anyone who has a court date will be contacted by the court to set a new date. TLS.

    Can you give us any more details of the closures in the Mass/ Route 70 area? I would like to plan accordingly.

Someone should unite our community with signs (maybe in Yeshiva too) to avoid these areas and not make the cops who are busy paying respects to Officer Matlosz be busy telling us where to drive. let’s make this a Kiddush H that will have the police of this town and those who come from other towns believe MEE K’AMCHOH YISROEL

  4. To not sure: a viewing is when the deceased is layed out at a funeral home for family and friends to come and say their fianl good bye and to offer condolences to the family before burial

    Its ignorant and insensitive people such as yourself that never seem to get it. Any upstanding member, resident, citizen, should have been honored as to the great lengths that were went to to catch a killer. If someone from “the Community” was murdered you would want the same thing done and would not have made such a stupid comment.
