Chesed of Lakewood: The Lakewood community is joining communities and individuals worldwide in a whirlwind fundraising drive for the very well known Zaka-man Bentzy Oiring.
The best way to describe Bentzy is a one-man army of chessed and ahavas Yisroel in Israel, willing to do anything to help another person. We check the news; another attack, another stabbing, another bombing. We think to ourselves, “What can we do? How can we get involved? How can we make a difference?” Bentzy is there at the front line. We must join him and stand behind him.
Anyone who knows Bentzy can attest to his difficult financial situation, his bare home, literally no bread on the table.

I’m not from Lakewood. Can anyone confirm that whomever is running this campaign will be giving all the money to rabbi oirong?

To Yehuda – Chesed Shel Emes is run by absolute Tzadikim. So much so that most ppl don’t even know who’s behind it, I do, ahem, but I can’t tell you. If anyone can be trusted in a Tzaddaka campaign. It’s them.
Dear Readers,
As a Hatzolah volunteer IN Jerusalem I can attest both to Reb Bent Zions amazing tzidkus and his dire need.
At almost every single attack or serious accident or unnatural death Reb Bentzion is usually there within minutes directing his team of volunteers in their Avodas Kodesh. Additionally, Reb Bentzion is always there for bochurim and yungerleit who get arrested all too often for the gamut of criminal accusations, ensuring they’re being treated properly, provided with their religious needs.
I recall 3 years ago during the massive snowstorm it was late Friday night and we were on an ambulance running from call to call for over 24 hours, and we were wondering what would be with seudas shabbos, until we reminded ourselves of Reb Bentzion’s open house.
In closing there is no such thing as calling Reb Bentzion’s cell phone and being told sorry I’m not involved in this type of thing. Whatever the need Reb Bentzion is there to help!
Kol Hakavod to all those answering the call to help this most amazing Osek Btzurchei Tzibur Be’emunah!
Tizku Lmitzvos!
