Sheva Brachos was a very bittersweet simcha for the Bergman and Kurtz families this evening, after the Choson and kallah, coming from Toronto to Lakewood today, for their last Sheva Brachos, never made it. After the B&K wedding last week in Lakewood, the family went to Toronto for Shabbos Sheva Brachos. Although the kallah, from Toronto has a dual citizenship, because she had just married, the border control refused to let her through with just her Canadian passport. Her papers proving her US citizenship, was thought to have been left in the couple’s Lakewood apartment, but could not be found.
