MISSING PERSON:Chaveirim tells TLS that they will be joining Monsey Chaveirim, Brooklyn Shomrim, and other officials to assist in a massive search of a missing man originally from Great Neck, NY. Lakewood Chaveirim members are currently returning from the man’s residence in NY where they met with family members, including his wife, son daughter and others, to get briefed with detailed information of the man, who was last communicated with on the 4th of October, at approximately 11:30 a.m.
The man, 65-year-old Steven M. Mayer – described as a white male, 5′ 8′, 190 lbs., brown hair and glasses – is believed to have traveled to Riverhead, Long Island.
He was driving a 2010 4-door, grey Nissan Sentra, with NY plates of EWN-4035.
The search will resume later this morning.

Update 9:00 a.m. The hotline number to volunteer for the search is, 347-927-7701.

UPDATE 2:10 p.m. A command center has been set up at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel located at 1707 Old Country Road, Route 58, Riverhead, NY.
Authorities have now begun searching by Helicopter and K-9.
All wishing to assist in the search, are requested to head there first, where they will be given further instructions.
He is a good person – I hope they find him safely.
