The Lakewood Board of Education this evening approved the budget – but with an added clause that their vote is null and void if the following

three conditions do not come through from the state.

1. The $30,000,0000 which was nixed from the budget.

2. The acceptance to defer the past loans.

3. That funding is in place if SCHI wins their rebill.

This allows that all public schools will remain open July 1st.

The Board also approved the request of a loan from the State for a half year funding for the after-school programs, and non-public services.
