Lakewood Armed Robbery Suspects also Charged in Toms River Robberies

suspect 1The three individuals arrested for the armed robberies in Lakewood last night were charged in connection with two armed robberies in Toms River as well, Toms River Police said today.

As a result of this arrest a cooperative and joint investigation was conducted by the two departments.

“Toms River Detective Randy Petrick and Toms River Patrol Sgt. Ray Maloney determined that the Lakewood suspects were also responsible for a Robbery at the Toms River Red Lobster Restaurant on September 26, 2014,” police said. “They were also linked to the Robbery of two females on September 26, 2014 that occurred on Parkcrest Drive in Toms River just prior to the Red Lobster crimes in which two females were approached at gunpoint and money was demanded.”

In addition to the Lakewood charges, Toms River will be charging the same adult, Devin Delaine, of Lakewood, and the juveniles with two counts of Robbery as a result of the September 26, 2014 incidents.

Good kids do not steal. Good kids do not have illegal weapons. Good kids do not use illegal weapons to steal. Period.

Having worked NYC, I could buy that one time, one otherwise good kid went along for the ride. But 3 strikes and your out. 5 and the game’s over.

Okay ? but, half of them are still in school. good kids with good intentions good mixed up with the wrong crowd . is that so hard to understand? its LAKEWOOD . Lakewood is the worst town ever if your scared move who cares they are kids you act like u were never a kid before . you are not perfect so Lakewood scoop needs to take this down anyways cause he’s a minor your irrelevant and you should be locked up cause if it was ur kids you’d be feeling some type of way .

Good kids sometimes run with the wrong people but smart kids wouldn’t. You’d have to be an idiot to go along with a robbery plan

They tried getting a female into a wooded area…. sounds to me like attempt to (moderated) and knocked another female to the ground plus a number of armed robberies. they may have been good kids in the past but this behavior goes way beyond kids being kids. these kids need to sit some time to get back on the right track

I’m not understanding, what does it mean, “they are good kids”??
If they are “good” , then why would they rob/attack innocent victims? If they are good, wouldn’t they rather be doing some volunteer work, for a good cause (of any sort), as many other “good” kids do?
If you (collective) meant to say that they could be good kids, but unfortunately have been led astray, that’s possible, but that still doesn’t make them “good” kids today…

Lock up these “great kids” and “good athletes” and throw away the key.

Ok let’s try this. To all you people who want to make excuses for these thugs & say they’re “good kids” how about you tell everyone what’s so good about them. So far we have a pretty good idea of what’s bad about them. Threatening people at gun point isn’t very good where I come from. It’s also not just “a mistake”. It’s downright evil. So you tell us how they’re good & we’ll all stop judging let’s go.

If these thugs are considered “good” according to their Lakewood High friends.. I’d hate to see what “Bad” is.

They should be locked up.

To all those who keep saying that they are good kids. Let me ask you a question, when good kids so bad things and terrorize the town should they not be arrested and prosecuted? If a good kid would commit murder should we let him off because he is a good kid? Or because its not his fault because he got mixed up with the wrong crowd?

that kid

That kid in Furgeson was also a “Good Kid”.

These kids are thugs and must be locked up for at least 5-10 years. Anything less is a crime on the part of the Judge.

It’s high time for America (and many people on this site) to stop sympathizing with perpetrators and start sympathizing with victims.

I do know one of them and he IS a good kid who allegedly made a huge mistake. Discipline yes, lock up and throw away key no. Parents both in his life yes, loved and provided for yes, made an allegedly poor decision independent of his parents yes. Heck everybody commenting has done something real wrong b4 just hasn’t caught up with fb yet. Furthermore, your likely the same person who covered or got real quiet about wrongs and crimes when it was someone u knew. People do make mistakes period. Look at yourself im sure yours read all over your face daily. Done.
