4. Fire just got shutdown by cops at my sons school.. Neighbors complained about music

7. What about Jackson high school and their dance a thon or what ever is going on there tonight blasting music and using megaphones. Why not do something about them?

   Neighbours complain about music and event gets shut down, understandable, BUT – Jackson High can have an event with loudspeakers, cheering, the works, long into the night…. And ‘sorry there’s nothing we can do’.

9. When Jackson gets responsible government the way that Lakewood does, then that will happen.

   In the meantime, don’t bash Lakewood cops. Your complaint just goes to show that they are more efficient than their Jackson counterparts

10. Ye, why should we have to suffer all the time from jackson high school events. BMG should buy the campus, and turn it into a huge BM with dorms and use the fields to relax and rejuvenate during bain hasdarim! ENOUGH WITH THE NOISE!

12. The LAKEWOOD PD does not have control over Jackson Twp Activities and they are all permitted by Jackson. You can always call Jackson

13. ANYONE throwing a loud party late into the evening in a residential area most likely will receive a visit from the police asking them to tone it down or end it. As far as the fire being extinguished, did you have the proper permit? It’s against NJ state laws to burn without one. Jackson High conducts normal school activities which sometimes are loud and require lights into the night. If you live in Westgate, get over it. What did you expect when you knowingly moved next to a large school? That’s like moving next to a chicken farm and complaining about the roosters crowing and the smells!

14. The jackson school was renavated way after westgate was built and they built track feilds etc and westgate never had a chance

15. Jackson held one of hundreds of Relay for Life charity events held around NJ each year. These kids you are complaining about were raising upwards of $100,000 for cancer research as well as celebrating the lives of friends and family who survived cancer and also those lives that were lost. These kids were doing a wonderful and touching act of kindness and none of them called to shut down anyone else’s event so let’s not get them involved with this situation. Sorry some miserable, grumpy person called the police on your fire. I really am. But leave the Liberty kids out of your complaint.

17. There’s no reason the high school needs to go way pass midnight, blasting into the speakers where neighbors a mile away can hear it. That’s not appropriate at all!! Or do a full night event Friday night… Blasting at 3,4, and 5 am. That’s ok?? No its not!!! And yes these events all had permits so stop being so prejudice old man!!

18. To oldsmanfury. You should know what was going on at the high school was at 1 am. According to anyone that is unacceptable noise. At a reasonable hour no one had a problem with what goes on there.

21. So much ignorance about Jackson, Jackson Police, Jackson Liberty HS and Relay for Life Events. Why do people make comments when they don’t have any knowledge of what they are speaking about?

    And PLEASE… Stop with the comments about Westgate being built before the school or before”renovations” as someone mentioned. The school was planned and approved in full before Westgate. Nothing was hidden from anyone. The builders of Westlake knew what they were building next to and anyone buyingbshould have known. The track and fields were no renovation. All public high schools have athletic fields. Oh… And yes. Good idea have BMG buy the campus. Very funny.
