  1. It was an amazing event, B”H!! So many people showed up, must have been a couple thousand in and out the whole night. There were tons of families who enjoyed the free horse rides (3 wheeler rides) and food. The bonfire was spectatular (including the few minutes of fireworks). The achdus of all those present who chipped in to help where needed was a true kiddush Hashem! There was even a stand on the side of people taking swabs searching for a bone marrow donor match for a cancer patient!

May the Ribbono Shel Olam give the Reb Chaim and the Minyan the strength (and money) it needs to continue servicing our wonderful community and all of those who come through its doors!

  2. TLS – you say over 1000 attended? What is your source?
I heard someone saying they used 1,400 franks (almost 1,000 were finished before 8:00 & some guy went to buy more). there was like altogether steaks burgers and chicken kutlets about close to another 2,000 portions.
we’ll have to wait for ‘minyan boy’ to verify exact numbers.
so total of about 3,000 portions & EVERYTHING wAs GONE! I wouls assume that your statement of ‘over 1,000’ is an understatement.

    Thank u.

  3. WOW! WOW! WOW!

Rabbi Abadi and crew did it again!

The whole event was truly an amazing kiddush Hashem!

It was an amazing show of TRUE achdus and ahavas chinam!

Anyone and everyone who was there felt as they BELONGED there ….. wow, you know I think that is trulyy the most amazing part of the whole evevning, for two reasons:
    1) It’s so appropriate (this mida of ahavas chinam) for this part of the year.
    2) Ahavas Chinam and being made to feel as if one BELONGS is the TRUE ESSENCE of what Minyan Shelanu is all about. That is where our struggles and their (MS) perserverance through them, with such patience and LOVE towards EVERY yid makes them who they are – LARGER THAN LIFE!

My lesson from last night’s event is:
Minyan Shelanu- I now fully understand the how ANY person who walks through your doors – be it a troubled teen, a yungerman who needs assistance with….. ANYTHING, a parent, ANYONE…. WILL AND DOES WALK OUT WITH A POSITIVE ATITUDE ….. JUST LIKE WE (strangers) FELT LAST NIGHT!!

I can spend all day writing about the strong wondeful feeling if achdus last night….. without exaggerating…..

In short: Thank you Rabbi Abadi for giving us all an inkling of a (live) lesson of what it means to be…. LARGER THAN LIFE!

Keep strong and G-d should bless you all!

  4. Congrats to the winner. I recognize him from the picture as the guy who served everyone from the grill the whole night. Im so happy for him!
It was such a nice event. In my opinion there were at least 2500 – 3000 people there over the course of the night, with approx. 1100 there together at the peak of the attendance.

  5. Cousin Aharon, I’m really happy for you that you won the 10 gran. If it couldn’t be me at least it was you, which to me it’s as good. Also thanks for that nice piece of meat that you so graciously served my little daughter last night. You had that trademark smile of yours on the whole night as you were serving the oilam, and thats very special. Keep up the good work!!

  6. How can I be of assistance to this great organization?
I was there last night. Everyone was so happy and pleasant.
I don’t know what you guys do to make it (the whole party) like one big happy family. Whatever it is, I wanna join.

So, to all you pessimists out there – if you cant handle some love, stay in your corner but TRY to discontinue your senseless comments. TRY not to cause machlokes with your hateful comments – and you shoulD all have a refuah shleimo refuas hanefesh u’refuas hageef!!!
