(Click on application to enlarge and print). The Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office has asked The Lakewood Scoop to publish the following for the Lakewood Community. The Office is asking the Lakewood Community, that if they are planning to have a Lag Ba’omer fire on Monday May 11 or Tuesday May12, 2009, they must submit a permit application with a $42.00 fee to the Office by 12:00 PM on Friday May 8 so that the staff can visit the sites prior to the fires commencing, to make sure they meet all of the bonfire requirements. You must also contact the NJ Forest Fire Service for a Burn Permit 609-726-9010. We are providing a Permit application and Bonfire Regulations for your convenience. They can be dropped off at the Office at Ocean County Park 659 Ocean Ave Lakewood. Anyone who does not have an approved Permit will have their fire extinguished and can be subject to penalties for the extinguishment.
