The original Kollel bus, the brainstorm of R’ Yissochor Dov Warman, is currently looking for commuters to Manhattan who would like to capitalize and take advantage of the commute time by joining the”Kollel On Wheels”. The group is currently learning Masechtos Rosh Hashanah led by it’s Rosh Kollel R’ Moshe Jacobovitz and has made Siyumim on various Masechtos over the years.
The group, traveling in a custom fitted 14 passenger van, leaves Lakewood at 8:00 AM making various convenient stops on it’s way to Brick Park & Ride arriving in Manhattan (Port Authority) at about 9:40 AM. It leaves Manhattan at 5:55 PM arriving in Lakewood at about 7:10 PM.
“It’s a “win win” opportunity”, says the Kollel. “You can start your day with a Geshmake Seder in an environment of Bnai Torah and save money at the same time”.

Is this the Kollel bus/ kollel uvilechticha baderech? Because the kollel bus is a real bus, not a van. Or is this a dif thing?
Of course they need people. Who works in Manhattan and first needs to get there at 10 AM?
This group originated on a regular bus about 10 years ago & would very much like to have enough members join to get a bus again, however at the current time we travel in a very comfortable van.
There is a full size kollel bus that learns & davens that leaves earlier in the morning that has a wonderful group of bnei torah who learn with hasmodoh headed by R’ Dovid Lowenthal. There are many commuters to Manhattan & it would be great to band together “K’ish Echod Bileiv Echod” & form a larger group that can together take advantage of the commute time.
i think this is a very good idea
Kollel Uvelchtecha Baderech/Kollel Bus is a real bus leaving LKWD about 6:30. They learn and daven on the bus. It is amazing to see how the bus is always full of chavrusahs learning with such hasmadah and seriousness. There are chaburahs every so often and they have made many siyum since it started in 2001. The Kol Torah from the bus is just amazing. The other Kollel van leaves later and arrives in Manhatten later.
reb yissacar dov always wanting and willing to take on things to marbah kovad shmayim
custom fitted from the factory with 50 million other 15 seater vans
Mazel Tov Rabbi Warman!
Asach nachas!
I go on the kollel bus every morning, Reb Dovis Lowenthal is Mamush a Tsadig, He is total responsibble for all the torah that goes on, whethere setting up a Chavrusa Shaft, or talking in learning woth his Oilam. I would loke to write a littl epamphlet with storoes about him, I think it would give a lot a people a geshmak in learning and Chesed to read all the amozing stories about his learning and chesed.
I know R’ Dovid Lowenthal personally!! He is totally a Tzadik!!! Amazing! The amount of Torah that goes on is unreal! keep it up!
Don’t knnow much about this torah van, but the Kollel bus under R’ Dovid Lowenthal is trully a major kiddush Hashem!
