Vince Moss, MD, was recently appointed as the Medical Director of the Lung Nodule Program at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, and affiliate of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System. The Lung Nodule Program addresses the growing number of patients being diagnosed with tiny round or oval-shaped sore, called a lesion or nodule, on or in their lungs. Patients are effectively monitored for developments or changes of lung nodules.
Dr. Vincent Moss is a fellowship-trained thoracic surgeon, who specializes in minimally invasive techniques to enhance quality of life for individuals with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and emphysema. Dr. Moss has been instrumental in pioneering new surgical treatments at Kimball Medical Center for patients with chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a digestive condition that causes severe heartburn in nearly one-third of the American population.
Dr. Moss received his medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed a general surgery internship at the State University of New York and then completed his residency in general surgery at St. Vincent’s Hospital. He also completed a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at other at Downstate Medical Center in New York.
Dr. Moss is also on staff at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch and at Community Medical Center in Toms River, both of which are also affiliates of the Saint Barnabas Health Care System.
