Kimball Medical Center Appoints Vice President, Medical Affairs

Kimball Medical Center, a Barnabas Health facility, recently appointed Todd Phillips, MD, as Vice President, Medical Affairs. Dr. Phillips has served in the interim role since February.

As the Vice President, Medical Affairs and a member of the senior leadership team, Dr. Phillips will continue to oversee all physician activities throughout the organization. He will serve as the link between the organized independent medical staff and hospital administration and be responsible for maintaining Kimball Medical Center’s clinical quality.

“With a professional history of working closely with senior leadership teams at various organizations, I have no doubt that Dr. Phillips will continue to develop physician strategies that support Kimball Medical Center’s organizational mission of providing quality care to those we serve,” said Michael Mimoso, FACHE, President and Chief Executive Officer, Kimball Medical Center.

Prior to formally joining Kimball Medical Center, Dr. Phillips served as Vice President, Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson, Md. and at Hanover Hospital in Hanover, Pa.

Dr. Phillips received a B.S. in psychology from Penn State University and earned a medical degree from Thomas Jefferson Medical College. He is board certified in family medicine and is a Certified Physician Executive, as well as a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives.
