Kimball Closet Moves To New Location

kmc closet store_wmKimball Closet, one of three thrift shops that operate in support of Kimball Medical Center, has moved to a spacious new location in Jackson’s Prospect Plaza.  Located at 255 New South Prospect in Jackson, Kimball Closet has more than doubled in size from its prior location — growing from 1,200 square feet to 3,000 square feet. The lure of finding a wonderful bargain or unusual item draws throngs of customers weekly to thrift shops such as Kimball Closet, which has raised more than $100,000 to benefit Kimball Medical Center programs and services since opening its doors in Jackson in December 2003.

Kimball Closet, which is open Monday through Saturday from 10 am. to 4 p.m. and is totally staffed by volunteers, features general merchandize, including clothing, furniture  and accessories, small appliances, books and household items.

The thrift shop operates strictly on donations, and does not sell items on consignment. Tax receipts can be prepared for donations.

In addition to Kimball Closet, the hospital’s Auxiliary Council maintains the day-to-day operations at two other thrift shops: the Lots for Little Shoppe in the Seagull Square Shopping Center on River Avenue in Lakewood and The Treasure Chest in the Lakehurst Circle Shopping Center on Route 70 in Lakehurst.

“These shops not only provide valuable financial support, but also fulfill a need in the community for affordable clothing, household items, toys and other goods,” says Angela C. Ashley, Director of Development for Kimball Medical Center Foundation.

Kimball Closet accepts donations between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Saturday. To learn more about Kimball Closet, or to inquire about making a donation, please call 732-886-5972.

  1. Did Angela Ashley fill out her Census Form? Did all the Auxiliary Council Fill out their Census Forms? – I mean – they’re the ones that will have to accommodate people walking into the emergency room without Health Insurance…
Maybe Obama filled out his Census Form and that’s why he’s able to print so much money…… Do you think that’s possible?
