An emotional moment took place last night at an LBA game.
Carlos, the head LBA Baseball umpire who has been with the team for about five years, learned he had a serious medical issue.
“He just found out about this, and is in a lot of emotional, physical and financial pain,” said LBA’s Shimon Friedman. “Compounded by the tremendous pain he’s going through, the doctor bills started piling up.”
But the men at the LBA quickly became team players, and decided to give one back to the man that gives them a great time at the ballpark.
