Kars4Kids Develops App Aimed at Preventing ‘Child Left in Car’ Deaths

kars for kids“With all the news this summer about parents forgetting their kids in cars, we at Kars4kids, have just released the Kars4Kids Safety app which is designed to alert parents as soon as they leave their vehicle to retrieve their child from the back seat,” Kars4Kids told TLS today.

The app is available free to the public with user friendly features.

You can find more information about the Kars4Kids Safety app on their web page here http://www.kars4kids.org/safety-app.

“So far this summer alone there have been 13 deaths of children who were forgotten by parents in cars,” says Kars4Kids. “It is pretty scary to think that based on the stats, this is definitely going to happen again this summer to a precious, helpless child. If we can save even JUST 1, then all this effort was worth it.”

Continues Kars4Kids, “Unfortunately, frum communities as well have experienced this type of tragedy and we are sure any responsible parent would feel more secure to have this app on their phone to serve as an extra shmira for their most precious cargo.” [TLS]

  1. really if you need your phone to remind you that you left your child in the car then you do not need to have a child. please stop this, be parents protect our youth

  2. I feel sorry for the kids whose parents have incompatible blackberries. Can Kars4Kids develop an app for the Blackberry OS 10 so those kids can also enjoy this extra level of protection??

  3. to lkwd ff says

Maybe you are not a busy mother/parent… but unfortunately this doesn’t ONLY happen to “bad parents”. Have you never forgotten an important appointment, forgotten carpool…? Yes this is WAY, WAY more impt. But often the reason is overload, we are doing a lot of things and a change from the norm cld G-d forbid lead to tragic circumstances. Ppl are only trying to help but your attitude definitely doesn’t.

  4. Really cool! Works great on my Galaxy!
It won’t work on my wife’s iPhone, so she better learn to remember the kids on her own!

  5. to wondering …
if you are so busy that you cannot remember that you have your children in the back of your car maybe you need to rethink things. you need to rethink how busy you are , the appointments you have ect. thee is NO excuse for it. I have 2 children , I have a job church , softball practice , running around for fires and training , but guess what. I have never ever forgotten my children
